Doctor Octoroc’s long-awaited album “After These Messages” is now available for download. The best part? Pay-what-you-want. Cover design was a collaboration between the Doc and myself. He created logos for all the tv show theme songs he covered and then I butchered the crap out of them! Download it here.

Keyboard Cat Featured on The IT Crowd
July 11, 2010The Keyboard Cat video I created was turned into a t-shirt and worn by Roy on the latest episode (Season 4, Episode 3) of The IT Crowd! Full of geeky clean humor, The IT Crowd is one of my favorite tv shows, so I couldn’t have been happier to see Roy sporting the shirt with an illustration I created!

Thrillist & The Big Lebowski
June 17, 2010Thrillist has written up a nice little article about me. It’s always nice when people get all the little pop culture references in my work! And yes, there will be a second edition of Big Lebowski prints coming soon. I’ve given each their own color scheme so as to differentiate them from the first edition. Stay tuned.

Art For Obama
October 26, 2009Art for Obama: Designing Manifest Hope and the Campaign for Change was released this month. The book catalogues the many pieces of art displayed at Shepard Fairey’s Manifest Hope exhibitions. Two of my pieces, The Games They Played (Manifest Hope, DC) and New Game (Manifest Hope, Denver), are included, as are works by some of my favorite artists such as Ron English, The Date Farmers, David Choe, Tristan Eaton, Tim Biskup, Travis Lampe, Cathie Bleck, and Mike Perry. All proceeds from the book are going to Americans for the Arts.

Enlighten!
October 13, 2009I was recently invited to design a lamp for Enlighten! One Night of Light, an artist lamp show benefiting inner-city arts. Each artist’s lamp design will be sold in a limited edition available for one night only. In addition, some artists will also create one original, handmade shade for a lamp that will be featured in a silent auction. A portion of all sales will benefit Inner-City Arts, an organization offering opportunities for at-risk children from Los Angeles schools to build artistic self-expression, enhancing their ability to perform both creatively and academically in challenging environments.
Enlighten! is being curated by Tornado Design and the lamps are being produced by Lamp-In-A-Box. If you cannot attend the show but would like to pre-order a lamp, click here.

My piece, titled “Zane’s Dilemma”, was inspired by the textile arts of William Morris and the English Arts and Crafts Movement.
