
Saved By The Bell: The Columbine Years
March 7, 2009I’m probably going to hell for this piece, but I just couldn’t resist. Jensen from Gallery 1988 was kind enough to invite me to participate in the gallery’s upcoming Idiot Box show. The theme of this exhibition is television’s guilty pleasures, shows so bad they’re good. Dennis “Mr. Belding” Haskins is hosting the show, so Jensen requested I do a SBTB piece.
I’m also excited to report I’m doing another “audio-visual” collaboration with Doctor Octoroc for the event. Those who purchase a print of the piece will receive a link to download an amazing 8-bit rendition of the theme song, which will be be on his upcoming tv themed album in May. For those who want a sneak preview of the track but don’t want to purchase the print, just go to the show and look for the piece with headphones next to it.
