March 28, 2009

I recently spent nine amazing days in Berlin with curators Love Ablan and Jon M. Gibson (founder of the I Am 8-Bit art show) setting up an installation at Neurotitan, attending the Pictoplasma conference, and absorbing as much of this crazy city as I could in such a short period of time.

14,850 Post-Its

Happy Birthday Communication Arts!

March 4, 2009

Today I was flipping through the new issue of Communication Arts, which happens to be their 50th anniversary issue. Pages 66–85 contain a timeline of the last fifty years that “provide a brief overview of the evolution of creativity in visual communication and its relationship to society, culture and technology.”
I almost dropped the magazine when I got to the last spread (comprising 2004–2008) when I noticed that The Baby Owner’s Manual that I illustrated and designed with Paul Kepple at Headcase Design was included around the 2004 mark. What a nice surprise, thanks CA!
